| League bocce Is one of the more popular activities in which members of branch 47 participate with over 30 active members on rosters of 6 all SIR teams playing in morning bocce with 2 team each on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. League bocce last 30 weeks begins in late March and concludes in mid to late October depending on weather conditions. There are three league sessions, Spring, Summer and Fall, each lasting 9 weeks with a tournament on the 10th week. Each session is divided into upper and lower divisions with 10 teams in each division. At the end of each session the best team in the lower division moves up to the upper division and the last place team in the upper division moves down to the lower division for the following session. In addition to the 3 morning leagues, there are 5 night leagues in which some members of branch 47 also participate. In total each league normally has 20 teams with 6 active players for a total of 960 players playing bocce.
